New iPhone is launched in China but without all the fuss as in previous years

No long waits, the new Apple tablet reached the Chinese market. The company expects to expand its presence in the country with new stores.

SHANGHAI. - Apple staged a discrete release of its latest iPhone in China, far from the chaotic scenes that plagued the launch of the above products technology company in its most promising market.

The peaceful and orderly lines in Shanghai and Beijing were a surprise to many fans of Apple in China, used to spend the night in serpentine queues among speculators to get their hands on the latest product.

"I am very surprised that no tail. I thought it would be a very long tail, so I came a little early to take him," said Sun Xufei worker in the area of information technology, which was at the head of the small tail of about 20 people outside the Apple store in Shanghai Lujiazui.

The launch of the latest iPhone, with higher resolution screen and a camera better than previous versions of the hugely popular tablet, comes weeks after Apple paid $ 60 million to a company in Shenzhen for a claim of ownership rights over the iPad name.

The Cupertino company adopted an online booking system that allowed them to control the flow of people in their stores and to avoid repetition of the chaotic launch of the iPhone 4S in January, when a store in Beijing was bombarded with eggs by rioters. "My friend came last year and was lining up a whole day. So I think the process is much more convenient now," said Wang Yue, 26, outside of the tent of Lujiazui.

Apple has two stores in Beijing, three in Shanghai, one in Hong Kong and a network of authorized dealers. Government officials in China said the company aims to open two more stores in major cities of Chengdu and Shenzhen. Demand for Apple products is so high that many are purchased through unauthorized sellers who sell contraband devices or online stores with parallel imports.
