NASA launches game that emulates the Curiosity rover landing on Mars

"Mars Rover Landing" is downloaded for free through Xbox Live and play without controls.

The partnership between NASA and Microsoft introduced its first product: a free game where the user must make the Curiosity rover lands safely on the surface of Mars.

The game was released yesterday and is now available from Xbox Live Marketplace.

Its operation is simple: the user controls the system through Kinect landing, and must ensure that your browser reaches the surface before you run out of fuel.

The graphics of the game are canned quality, which seeks that the player can feel part of the "seven minutes of terror", the complicated landing sequence of Curiosity.

Curiosity was launched into space on November 26 last year and should reach the surface of Mars on August 6.
