Google has updated its Google Maps service to provide users with detailed and accurate maps of certain areas in Europe, Africa and Asia. The goal is to help users more easily locate any point on the map, no matter where you are. For this reason, Google has added the names of places so far absent in the application.

Universities, airports and public places are also marked in the new version of Google maps. The main points of interest labels now have detailed information. This applies to the Italian city of Venice, where Google now shows the Piazza San Marco and accurately aligned channels, plus a 3D view of buildings.

Google has also released updated maps for Croatia, Czech Republic, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Lesotho, Macao, Portugal, San Marino, Singapore and Vatican City. As in the case of previous updates, the new maps provide an improved view of the different areas.

In Ireland, for example, Google Maps began providing detailed coverage of national heritage areas and a more accurate picture of the coastline or ocean.

In addition, Google Maps has also added ferry routes in many places, such as the area around Naples, Italy. These routes are now much better marked, labeled, directions and hours.

Other changes mentioned, are a more accurate to distinguish local roads in many countries that have been updated on the map, with their names in different languages. With these improvements is to provide the user a better visual idea of the location and promote circulation through the different areas.

Since its official blog, Google also notes the importance of the tool "Report problem" available in the Google Maps interface that gives users the ability to advise on certain application errors.

This improved Google Maps will join two other recent changes to the map service, such as the collection of images of Antarctica or the routes by major U.S. national parks.
